Hi,
I would like to set up a node.js server with socket.io for an instant chat application.
The instant chat application will be used simultaneously by 150-200 people at the same time.
I would like to use the node.js server, which will be installed on DigitalOcean, for exchanging simple chat signals (for example “user is typing a message”, “waiting for user to respond”, etc.) between users of the chat application. No database will be used, no messages will be stored in the database, no data will be stored in the database - just plain and simple signal exchanges between users.
Which pricing plan do you recommend for my needs? Anybody has an application with many simultaneous connections using node.js and socket.io? How many simultaneous connections? What are your experiences using the service?
Regards,
Mark
