How much will it cost to frequently start up and tear down droplets?

Posted on June 5, 2014

I can’t seem to find an answer to this question, but let’s say I want to do the following (assume a start time of 10:00 a.m.):

  1. Start up a droplet based on a snapshot.
  2. Run the droplet for a couple of minutes.
  3. Destroy the droplet.
  4. Five minutes later repeat steps 1-3.
  5. Fifteen minutes later repeat steps 1-3.
  6. Two hours later repeat steps 1-3.

What will be charged? $0.014 or $0.021?

Oops, I meant $0.014 or $0.028?

Every time you spin up a server, you will be charged by the hour. So with your set up, if sounds like you will be spinning up a server 4 times, you would probably be charged $0.028

As soon as the droplet is on, you’re charged for an hour. <br>
