How to access a LEMP droplet that has been stopped after resizing?

Posted on March 7, 2023

I resize my droplet an hour ago expanding the Ram and CPU because I will open the registration in my Moodle academy today, but after resizing I could not access the server via SSH nor Digital Ocean console service, even the ping command did not work with my IP. I wrote a ticket for support but they did not reply yet, can any one help me here?, it is my first time to post in the community.

Hey @swimmingceruleanfish,

In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.

Do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?

Hope that helps!

Hey @swimmingceruleanfish,

Do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?

In the meantime, have you tried rebooting the Droplet? Also I could suggest trying to access your Droplet using the Recovery Console as described here:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/how-to/recovery/recovery-console/

Once connected, check your logs for any errors that might be causing the problem:

dmesg | grep -i eth

Feel free to share the errors here.
