Spaces is very reliable, but it’s always a good idea to back things up. Snapshooter (https://snapshooter.com/) and Flexify (https://flexify.io/) both have the ability to replicate data to another bucket in another region on a scheduled basis. You can also run free a tool like rclone (https://rclone.org/) paired with a cron job to copy files to another bucket in another region on a regular schedule.
Hi there,
I recently answered a similar question here.
Spaces is built with Ceph, just like block storage. As we describe in our blog post on why we chose Ceph:
Ceph is also compatible with a large subset of the S3 RESTful API, which allows you to use many familiar tools and commands.
Also as Sri mentioned in that thread, you can use our product called Snapshooter which helps you in dealing with Spaces backup:

Hope that this helps!
Best,
Bobby
