I find that gzip compression helps to load websites faster. I had a blog on blogger. I follow one tutorial on gzip compression but nothing changes seen on my blog. I measure page speed on GT matrix too. Nothing changes found. Is gzip compression a myth or what? And how to check if gzip compression enabled on my blog or not?

Hi there,

In order to check if gzip compression is enabled for your website, you can run the following command to check your headers:

  1. curl -IL https://your_website.com/

Or you can use an external tool like this website for example:

https://varvy.com/tools/gzip/

If this is not the case, I could suggest following this tutorial here on how to do so:
