Hey, please advise me, I installed PHP 7.4 via a terminal, but Joomla still reports that I have 7.2 and I don’t know where to “enable it”? Many thanks for the advice :-)

If you are using mod PHP, then you can do that with the following:
First disable PHP 7.2:
sudo a2dismod php7.2
Then enable PHP 7.4:
sudo a2enmod php7.4
Finally restart Apache.
