How to secure database connection to App Platform?

DigitalOcean Managed PostgreSQL Database

As I understand, the databases in cluster are accessible over the network from anywhere.

What’s the recommended way for securing an Database connection with App Platform application? How to set it up so that nobody else can try to login to my database except my application that’s in App Platform?

Hey @MihkelL,

I believe that as of the time being this is not possible but it is something that the DigitalOcean team are working on.

It looks like someone has had the same idea before and has posted it on our Product Ideas board. The best thing to do would be to head over and add your vote to it, as well as adding any additional information in the comments for exactly what you’d like to see implemented!
