Question

How To Set Up and Configure an OpenVPN Server Ubuntu 22.04 on pfSense router???

Hi! I did folowed the How To Set Up and Configure an OpenVPN Server on Ubuntu 22.04 and it went just fine. Only problem trying to assign the client1.ovpn to pfSense router. I did watched lot of tutorrials and red many instructions, but none are applying it directly from DigitalOcean its OpenVPN server or any externel OpenVPN server. My Client wont start running even assigned CA cert. On DO OVPN server is status some TSL error. Would like to ask someone who tried client successfully on pfSense for step by step guide. Thanks!

Hello @fractalparadigm

I’ve personally used and installed OpenVPN many times, but not a pfSense router. However, upon researching it seems like pfSense supports integration with OpenVPN.

The pfSense software GUI includes a certificate management interface that is fully integrated with OpenVPN.

I’ve found several tutorials on how to install and configure OpenVPN on pfSesnse router, so you might as well give it a try by looking at examples like
