I assume droplet is VPS. I want ubuntu 22.04 LTS as specified by AmneziaVPN. There is no room in account setup to pick my ubuntu version. The AmneziaVPN app on iphone uses root credentials to configure a docker.

Yes, Droplets are VPS instances, and you can pick the Ubuntu version during creation. In the Create Droplet → Choose an image → Ubuntu section, you’ll see the list of versions currently supported, for example, 25.04, 24.04 LTS, and 22.04 LTS:
