How to ssh to my droplet using a mobile wireless connection?

Posted on February 19, 2014

Hello all,

I am having troubles to access my droplet once I move away from my work connection or wired access to the internet. I have at home a mobile wireless connection 4G. However, I cannot access my droplet not even trough the console while I am using my mobile connection. Does any one have a solution? I have tried different settings from my latptop running on ubuntu, IPAD using iSSH, but not success. Any help will be most appreciated! Cheers, Jose

Could be a local issue to your wireless provider since you’re having trouble with SSH and the web console, but you can try using mosh instead of SSH.

“Mosh is a replacement for SSH. It’s more robust and responsive, especially over Wi-Fi, cellular, and long-distance links.”

http://mosh.mit.edu/
