Hello @imagineverend

I am not sure how your VPS is down after missing picture in media library. Kindly reboot the server check server log file to find the exact issue. You can find server log at /var/log/messages and usr/local/apache/domlogs. You should disable all the wordpress plugins and try to upload the images using WP uploader in order to show them in the image library. If you still face any issue then kindly install WP Log Viewer plugin to check log for wordpress log in detail. You can find more information regarding WP Log Viewer at

Since you posted the other question Meta description, Focus keyword, Meta keywords (Yoast SEO plugin) is empty, then I think it’s a very different problem.

How did you server go down? Are you running multiple servers?

Can you check if the media files are actually on your server? Which by default should be located in /var/www/html/wp-content/uploads/.

It sounds like the database crashed and is corrupted, and have lost data. Can you post the last 50 lines from your database error log? tail -50 /var/log/mysql/error.log

Hi @imagineverend

Have you setup Block Storage and saved your media there, but didn’t configure fstab, so the mount doesn’t come back online when you restart the server?

Or do you have a plugin installed that offloads your media to a CDN, but maybe it “lost” it’s connection after restarting the server?
