I installed Wordpress with my IP but it does not show my domain name.

Posted on December 18, 2015

My domain is tuyensinh.com I installed Wordpress (Ubuntu 14.4) with my IP but it does not show my domain name, only the ip address showed the Wordpress page. I logged in as admin, went to Settings - General and change the site address to my IP but it does not work. I also pointed the Godaddy DNS to ns1. ns2. ns3.digitalocean.com Please advise how to fix it.

I also wonder how I can add more domains to this IP with Wordpress installation.

If you would like to use your domains for your website you need to do a few things:

  • Modify the domains nameservers to DO
  • Create VHOST’s for your websites. This could either be on nginx or apache, but these handle the domain lookups.
  • Create your sites for the domains.
