I posted this question in IRC and found that DO doesn’t allow custom kernels. Is there any other solution to this problem?
My droplet is a 32 version of Ubuntu Server 12.10.

You probably don’t need the module, itself. tap/tun is already compiled monolithically into the kernel (at least for Ubuntu 14.04): root@basidium:/proc# dmesg | egrep -i “tap|tun” [ 0.643525] tun: Universal TUN/TAP device driver, 1.6 [ 0.643869] tun: © 1999-2004 Max Krasnyansky maxk@qualcomm.com
The solution that I found is to use the CentOS 6.4 droplet. <br> <br>[root@do ~]# lsmod | grep tun <br>tun 13639 0
