My domain is in DigitalOcean’s DNS. I have one working subdomain (from long ago), and a wild card subdomain (*) that doesn’t work (any subdomain gets an error: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN).
tried to add some subdomains by adding an A records and by creating alias servers at Apache vhost.conf, but i always get DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error.
first i thought i didn’t wait enough, but a week later, still the same error.
Am i missing something? I read somewhere you need to add the subdomain to the “hosts” file of the server, but i don’t see my old subdomain in the file, and it works fine.
Any idea what i’m doing wrong?

Hello,
In order for you to be able to use DigitalOcean’s DNS zone, your domain name needs to use the DigitalOcean nameservers:
If your domain name does not use those nameservers, the DNS records that you have at DigitalOcean would not take effect.
Also usually after making a DNS change, it could take up to 24-48 hours for the DNS to propagate.
Regards, Bobby
