I decided to try to link two accounts into a team since I am helping out a less technical buddy of mine with his droplet(s). Unfortunately this functionality in its current status has no use to me, I wasn’t able to use my existing account and why in the world would I open a new one. Should I open a new account on joining every team? My expectations were that I would be able to use my existing account and magically determine even if I want to use an ssh key for a shared droplet amongst the team.

@ryanpq Is it still necessary to create a new account to join a Team? I would like to use my own account to help manage his to a friend…
I created an account back in 2015 and had several active servers. I noticed recently that I was on a team for (what looked like) only one server and left that team. What I did not realize is that my entire account was attached to that team - as I left what I though was one team for one server, all of my account history, account credit, financial information, and all droplets were lost to my account and I had to re-enter everything to access even the basic account features.
I am shocked to find out that your finance information and account credit is not tied to your account, it’s tied to your TEAM. That’s just strange. Be careful with team functionality everyone!
