Running Joomla on Ubuntu 14. My server had crashed (as it has done infrequently in the past.) I restarted it yesterday and there was an update for Joomla (3.6.4) which I applied. Today I navigated to our website and have a white screen with this error:
Error displaying the error page: Error decoding JSON data: quoted object property name expected: Error decoding JSON data: quoted object property name expected
I am able to log into the backend of Joomla

It appears that this is a known issue with 3.6.3/3.6.4.
There is more discussion in the GitHub issue here.
One recommended solution is the replacement of the libraries directory with the version from 3.6.2 (while backing up the current one). This is detailed in the thread at the first link.
