Lost domain, can't get into account, No Response from Digital Ocean

The domain I was using for my DO account expired and sold by my registrar before I was aware of it. In my attempts to update my account to the new email address, DO requested photos of me with my ID and a closeup of my ID, I provided these and then then next time I tried to log into my account, the 2-step authentication sent the code to my (old) email address instead of to the phone number I had previously been using. So now I am not longer able to access my account at all. The Contact form on the website has an error every time I try to use it and the email it tells me to use ( is completely non-responsive after a week and multiple emails. This Community Support forum is my last resort of getting this fixed. What do I do?

This is a temp account I created as I cannot access my originals.

Hello. Your email address is the primary way you are identified within your account so losing access to this means that we must verify that you are the person who owns the account before we can take action.

We recommend not sharing these addresses in a public forum but you can share them with us via a Twitter DM to @digitalocean or a Facebook Messenger message we can look into this for you. Emailing does indeed open a new ticket and trigger an autoresponse email. Did you receive this autoresponse?

This does seem to be a very concerning and scary situation. There’s no phone number for tech support either. Pls do update this thread with your experience.
