Hi commnunity,
Can I point my DigitalOcean (DO) droplet IP to A record (for */@/ftp/mail/www) in my Registrar dashboard, instead of add DO namespace to Registrar then add record in DO domain settings? Are there any differences between 2 approaches?

Are there any differences between 2 approaches?
Apart from having to utilize two separate dashboards, there is no difference in these two approaches.
Also, make sure that your DNS service has a good uptime, otherwise your services might face downtime ultimately. Most of the service providers have 99.9% uptime, so you will be good.
Performance offered by DigitalOcean is among the top 3 as noted here by DNSPerf.
Last but not least, take a look here at the services to check during DNS service provider selection and then make the decision.
Hi @dzuncoi,
yes, what you are intending to do is entirely possible. There is no difference where you manage your DNS. It’s up to personal preference.
Kind regards, Kalin D.
