I am redirecting a sub domain from my cpanel ( non DO ) to a digital ocean servlet, the redirection works well but right the IP address is not being masked. How can I mask the IP address of the servlet with the subdomain address ?

How did you create the subdomain? You need to point an A DNS record to your droplet, not set up an actual redirect using cPanel.
You can use the Simple DNS Editor to do that. First, delete your existing redirection rule, and then open up the DNS editor:

Select your domain name:

Add the A record (replace arecord with the subdomain, e.g. “blog” for “blog.domain.com”, and 212.45.23.212 with your droplet’s IP address):
