I need MongoDB hosting. I suppose, to have it on DO, I need to pay for a basic droplet ($5) plus mongo app (another $5 for basic version) = $10 in total. Am i correct?

MongoDB is just a platform. So yes, if Mongo costs $5, then you will need $10 total if you are going to buy the $5 basic droplet. Be aware that if you live in EU, the pricing is taxed, so instead of $5, it will be $6.25. But if you live outside of EU, it will just cost $5 dollars.
i`m using Mongo DB Community edition in my local server, if its possible to use MONGO DB community server in digital ocean cloud.
