Hey,
I was lucky enough to catch a domain on black friday at NameCheap. On the same day I pointed the nameservers to DigitalOcean. The website is still only reachable through IP, and not via domain.
ping, tracert and https://dnschecker.org/ shows the droplets IP with no problem.
I’ve cleared my cache, tried different browsers, even different internet networks.
Is it just a waiting game or is there something wrong?
Cheers, Dennis

Hey friend,
In my experience it takes a lot longer to push changes upstream for TLDs other than .com, .net, and .org. Your registrar pushes the NS change upstream to the parent TLD, who then has the duty of reflecting the change in their own DNS servers. That is most likely where you saw the delay. On the plus side, I can see their servers reflecting the change now.

Namecheap domain coupled with a DO hosting is a poorman’s combo. I’ve registered a domain about 40 hours ago but I still cannot get it from my end. I am stuck on Cloudflare error 1001 whilst on VPN it opens up just fine. I hope after 48 hours it will be over and done.
