Hi @chintanpandya,

I’ll recommend you to check the following article here;

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-the-apache-web-server-on-ubuntu-18-04#step-5-setting-up-virtual-hosts-recommended

I’ve marked step 5 - step-5-setting-up-virtual-hosts-recommended. Just follow that and it will help you to set a standard configuration file.

If you need to add a reverse proxy to Apache where it will redirect to another port, you need to add the following to your Virtual Block in your Apache config:

    ProxyRequests Off
    ProxyPreserveHost On
    ProxyVia Full

    <Proxy *>
        Require all granted
    </Proxy>

    ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:8000/
    ProxyPassReverse / http://127.0.0.1:8000/

Notice the ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:8000/. You’ll need to change the port with whatever your ruby on rails app is using.
