Hello, I have my ruby on rails app runs on IP:PORT now i need to add domain to this app so after pointing domain my app runs on domain. IP:PORT --> example.com basic details of server

I’ve marked step 5 - step-5-setting-up-virtual-hosts-recommended. Just follow that and it will help you to set a standard configuration file.
If you need to add a reverse proxy to Apache where it will redirect to another port, you need to add the following to your Virtual Block in your Apache config:
Notice the ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:8000/. You’ll need to change the port with whatever your ruby on rails app is using.
