Not a question, just a thanks. :)

Truthfully, I wasn’t sure how to do this without the question format here on community. If I did this wrong I apologize. :)

A bit about me: 33 years old, did 8 years Army and now finishing up an Associate’s Degree in “IT-Web & Software Development.” I’ve been with Lunarpages and their shared hosting with CPanel for ~6 years mostly utilizing php and various forum software and personal blogging software.

What I’m now able to do with DO: (I have serverpilot as well managing other processes…maybe should be noted.) I’m now trying to apply daily all I’ve learned in college and continue to learn–today I’m starting the process of learning MVC and php templating engines (and why they are needed.) My current “toolset” is PHP, MySQL, JS, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery. I’d link my own website but that’s not the intention behind this “thank-you.” As stated before with DO I’m now able to freely learn everything! From the hosting, to the server architecture (apache) to the client-side scripting all in the real world as if I’m my own professional dot com. :) That’s an amazing/fulfilling feature and feeling.

So now…as I finish up this “thanks for being you!” I got 3 tabs opened up about Backbone.js and learning MVC all within my own little private server and I feel confident one day I will be a professional programmer and just typing this out brings a smile to my face. So from the bottom of my heart, thanks. I mean it.

A good day to all the community and staff of DO. I am one happy camper. :-)
