object storage and sharing the link.

I have a folder in object storage. I tried sharing the provided link for the folder and was denied access when I made it a link on a website and clicked on the link. I turned on CDN, didnt give it a subdomain and it didnt work. I guess I have to give it some kind of subdomain or am I missing something else also?
