We’ve had a similar issue a few days ago after the migration of one of our droplets from one physical host to another. Droplet could not boot anymore. Ticket also took a while (guessing it’s the Meltdown migrations they’re doing in mass that’s slowing down support).
The conclusion was ¯_(ツ)_/¯, should have had a backup (although said in a slightly more polite way). We had DO backups enabled but since it’s weekly it ended up being not so useful. In our case the droplet was not as essential.
That was just my experience, hopefully yours goes better.
There have been a LOT of issues recently (API failing very often, bad migrations, slow support, constant outages of various systems). I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s the Meltdown stuff that’s the source of it all and wait for a bit. :-/
Good luck.
Hey @wiseweblady,
Do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?
Hope that helps!
