Question
Outlook blocking emails from DO Droplet
After running the $5 Droplet for a couple of month with no issues, I have decided to move my main website over to DO. I setup the VM today, spent all day migrating the data, only to find out that Microsoft in their infinite wisdom have blocked any of their services from receiving emails from the IP that I got allocated (UK Region)
It’s not black listed anywhere else, I have DKIM, DMARC, SPF and rDNS all setup, works with Google, Yahoo, and my test machine with Spam Assassin.
I have filled out the form to request it to be unblocked only to get the standard reply:
Not qualified for mitigation
142.93.XX.XX
Our investigation has determined that the above IP(s) do not qualify for mitigation.
Can DigitalOcean request they unblock it?
I find it hard to believe they can legitimately block an IP despite me offering to send them proof it was only allocated to myself today.
Any hints / tips most welcome as I don’t want to have wasted a day’s work and destroy the VM to find out I get another IP that is the same or worse.
