I recently setup my Ubuntu 20.04 droplet with postfix, the domain i use is from Godaddy and these are some of the DNS I configured:
MX mydomain.com mail.mydomain.com TXT mydomain.com v=spf1 myIp -all TXT _dmarc.mydomain.com v=DMARC1;p=quarantine;
I also have a PTR Record myip mydomain
Icloud, Gmail and even my school email receive the emails perfectly, sometimes they go to spam but they come. This doesn’t happen when I send emails to Outlook/Hotmail, they don’t even reach SPAM and the application does not throw error messages.
I tried adding the following records but it didn’t work: CNAME pop.mydomain.com mydomain.com CNAME smtp.mydomain.com mydomain.com CNAME imap.mydomain.com mydomain.com MX mydomain.com smtp.mydomain.com
I´m using PHP to send email but i guess that doesn’t matter much, I assume it’s a DNS problem or something.
Do you know what configuration i may be missing? The godaddy DNS has the following settings:
ns1.digitalocean.com ns2.digitalocean.com ns3.digitalocean.com

Hi there,
What I could suggest is to send a test email to the following website:
This will provide you with a nice report on what could be causing such deliverability problems.
Usually what I personally do is to use a managed SMTP service like SendGrid for my outgoing emails, this increases the deliverability rate of my email and they also have a free plan which is sufficient for most cases.
Best, Bobby
