phpMyAdmin, Centos 7, Nginx, Apache, not working

Posted on May 21, 2019

I followed the instructions to use yum to install phpMyAdmin. However, whenever I try to go to the “folder” off of a domain it just downloads the PHP file instead of running it.

I have Nginx passing all requests to Apache if it cannot handle them. I know Apache is working with PHP because it is running my site.

I am sure it is something simple but I am stumped.

I would suggest just installing PHPmyAdmin manually rather than via yum. You can create a separate Vhost and deploy the PHPmyAdmin files into the new document root. That way you would know how exactly you should adjust both Nginx and Apache configs.
