Email Ubuntu

I am following the tutorial to install postfix in Ubuntu 16.04, but it stops on the first screen. Any idea? I just installed Lemp Ubuntu 16.04 with success. Using Putty to run the commands. Can't get out of the first screen and then i can't login because of the processes running inside... i think.

Is it this tutorial?

What do you mean by "it stops on the first screen"? First screen of what, when you did what?

Postfix is a popular open-source Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) that can be used to route and deliver email on a Linux system. It is estimated that around 25% of public mail servers on the internet run Postfix. In this guide, we'll teach you how to get up and running quickly...

    Hello! Yes.
    The first screen of postfix's configuration procedures.
    After these two first commands:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo DEBIAN_PRIORITY=low apt-get install postfix

    It does not give me any options. Can't move from this screen. And then i have to end the session or the sessions ends by itself. Immediately i can't go back in. I have to wait a while before the server allows me in again.

    My first droplet is nice http://radha.org.br.

    Thanks!

    • When you run this sudo apt-get update it shows a list of URLs being downloaded and then index updated successfully - correct?
      After the update, then try this without the option sudo apt-get install postfix - what happens on the screen?

@hansen

Yez. When i run the first sudo command it shows the list and the 'ok' in the end. I will try your suggestion. Thank you for caring.
