Hey,
I experienced an “out of memory” error which caused a 502 Bad Gateway screen. I’m trying to sort out where the memory leak is coming from, but in the meantime I’m trying to restart the server…
I consoled in and ran ‘poweroff’ and it went to a purple splash screen that just says “Ubuntu 14.04”, where it has stayed for the past 15 minutes or so. I’m wondering if it’s time to do a hard reset now or not.
How long does it typically take the server to power off? The dots in that image are cycling as if it is loading or performing some task… how long should I let it go? How likely is data loss if I hard reset?
