As I was following the GITLAB-EE tutorial on marketplace, I encountered the following instruction: “On your first visit to the Droplet’s IP address, you’ll be redirected to a password reset screen. Provide the password for the initial administrator account and you will be redirected back to the login screen. Use the default account’s username root to login.” When I opened the droplet IP, the common login form appeared. Tried to create a new account, but it said that it must be authorized by the administrator. What is going on and how do I get admin password info?

Hey there!
On the DigitalOcean marketplace install as with a manual install of GITLAB-EE the root administrator password is created under /etc/gitlab/initial_root_password You can use it to login to the login page using the user root. It is generated randomly and stored there for 24 hours.
