Heya,

Have you configured annhua.org as the Droplet name? The Droplet name must match the FQDN for which you want the PTR record created. Note that if your Droplet name is not set to the FQDN then the PTR will not be added automatically.

Hi there,

To address your concern about the PTR record for your DigitalOcean Droplet:

DigitalOcean automatically sets up PTR records (reverse DNS records) for Droplets when the Droplet’s name is a fully qualified domain name (FQDN). However, if the PTR record for your Droplet (annhua.org with the IP 162.243.52.195) is not set, there are a few steps you can take to resolve this:

1. Verify Droplet Name

  • Ensure that your Droplet’s name in the DigitalOcean Control Panel is exactly annhua.org. The Droplet name must match the FQDN for which you want the PTR record created. Note that if your Droplet name is not set to the FQDN then the PTR will not be added automatically.
  • To check or change the Droplet’s name, go to your DigitalOcean Control Panel, click on the Droplet, and then click on the “Settings” tab. You can rename the Droplet here.

2. Ensure DNS Configuration

  • Make sure that the domain annhua.org has an A record pointing to the Droplet’s IP address (162.243.52.195). This DNS setup should be in place in the domain’s DNS settings (wherever your domain’s DNS is managed).

3. Allow Time for Propagation

  • After renaming the Droplet and ensuring DNS settings are correct, it may take some time for changes to propagate and for the PTR record to be created.

If you’ve followed these steps and the PTR record is still not set up, I recommend contacting DigitalOcean support directly. Provide them with the details (Droplet name, IP address, and the domain name) and explain the issue. They can look into this and help set up the PTR record:

Hope that helps!

- Bobby.
