Question

Rework to create OpenVPN

I read this tutorial to create an OpenVPN server, it worked perfectly and was configured correctly.

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-and-configure-an-openvpn-server-on-ubuntu-20-04

Now I want to create a new OpenVPN server, with a different IP to access other services and to be used by other users.

Is it safe to just create a snapshot of the original Droplet with OpenVPN, create a new Droplet using that snapshot and delete existing users and change connection IP in ovpn files?

Hi there,

Yes, this should work as expected with a snapshot.

Alternatively, what I usually do is to use this 1-Click installation for OpenVPN available on the DigitalOcean Marketplace:
