I have an existing ssh key which I’m trying to use with the Transmit client, which works similarly on other servers. I have checked various articles including the Filezilla example but I’m getting rejected at attempted login. Please confirm I have the settings wright
Protocol: SFTP Host: 198.199.72.177 (DNS ip address - also tried host.iq4news.com) user: root PW: None SSH Key: ~/.ssh/id_rsa Port: 22
So what am I doing wrong please?

Were you able to add your private key to Transmit? I got a “file not accepted” error and still stuck. :-)

Hello, I also have a problem with using my private key with Transmit. I get an error “Could not import SSH key file. The file is not in a supported format.”

For creating my key I used ssh-keygen command and havent done anything special with it (I typed a password, saved it to ~/.ssh/key_name).
