Sorry. an error occurred

Hi all. There’s a outlook ost file that I could open in Dell Inspiron laptop on Windows 8. However, after the Windows 10 update, I suddenly can’t open it anymore. It gives the following message, ‘Sorry. an error occurred’. I googled for this, i get many solutions for all other formats except ost files issue. TY for you time and attention

Thanks for sharing your question. Since we do not offer Windows on any of our servers this might not be the best place to find assistance with an issue on Windows.

That being said, I also was unable to find anything on your specific scenario in some searching but you may be able to gather more information from the “Event Viewer” in windows. This tool acts as a central logging location for Windows and many MS applications. This guide will walk you through the process. Hopefully you’ll find a more verbose error message there that can lead you to a solution.
