It seems like the issue is with the linkerd2.exe you are using. Can you please make sure you are using the latest linkerd version? I have followed the linkerd official documentation for the installation process and it worked as expected. You can find their official documentation here.
I tried installing linkerd in a cluster with the latest Kubernetes version. I didn’t face any issues and linkerd was installed as expected. Please find the below code snippet for your reference.
