Sub Domain not opening getting 500 Internal Server Error

Posted on February 2, 2019

My primary domain is Oyemr.com I tried adding a sub domain http://ifsc.oyemr.com using cPanel but it’s not opening and shows this message 500 Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

While another sub domain was created successfully and in working fine https://coupons.oyemr.com I tried restarting server. Nameserver are ok

Hello,

Indeed as Mohsen said you need to first check your Apache/Nginx error logs. The default location of the Apache error logs on CentOS is:

/var/log/httpd/error_log

What you could do is grep for your domain name in the error log:

grep your.subdomain.com /var/log/httpd/error_log

That way you would get all of the entries from the error log for this particular subdomain name.

Hope that this helps! Regards, Bobby
