Question

Suddenly cannot access droplet, error: "kex_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host"

Recovery console not working either. This droplet has been up for years. We use the Digital Ocean firewalls. Interestingly the server itself is still online although it seems to be slower.

Hi there,

Have you made any recent changes to the droplet’s sshd_config file or have made changes on your local machine like changing ssh-keys or updating the ssh-client?

On another note what is the exact issue with the recovery console? You can reach out to our support team about this issue if you’re unable to use the console to regain access to the droplet.
