LEMP

Hello guys, I’m using $5 plan and I need a mail server. (LEMP installed on it.) What do you suggest for my configuration?

  • Depends on your requirements. Mail servers can be a tricky business because they are a prime target for attackers that are looking to send out massive amounts of spam. Whatever you go for, make sure to lock it all down and secure everything and I would make sure that when you are setting it all up, that you make the correct DNS entries with regards to an SPF record and DKIM record. Postfix and Dovecot are a good starting point if you are looking towards getting things up and running. There’s some good tutorials here on DO you can look at… I’m not sure if we are allowed to post links to other sites here, but you might also find that this most likely covers all of your bases… http://flurdy.com/docs/postfix/#test-postfix-receive

    Good luck!
