Ubuntu 18.04.1 from production snapshot has different package count than production one

Posted on May 21, 2019

After creating (development) droplet from existing production snapshot which has 100+ packages to be updated in it, development droplet has only 5

Why there is such difference?

Ubuntu 18.04.1

No difference what so ever.

  1. Created snapshot from production droplet which has 100+ packages ready to be updated
  2. Created droplet from this production snapshot
  3. Logged into newly created droplet
  4. See that only: “5 packages can be updated”

It sounds like the snapshot is corrupted or the packages were auto updated. It requires our support team to look into it in detail. You can get in touch with our support team and they will be happy to help you:
