What is the reason for this report?

Unable to open port 6000

i have turn on port 6000 in networking -> firewall - > inbound Custom TCP 6000 [All IPv4] [All IPv6]

However when i tried to telnet the port to see if it works. it returned connection refused .

i haven’t use ufw or any other firewall .

Would you please advice ?

Is there any service listening on port 6000 at the moment? The port won’t be considered “open” until something is listening on it.

You can also use UFW if you want to use it to control the firewall rules

  1. sudo ufw allow 6000
