Virtualmin email problem

 • Posted August 5, 2013

Hi, I have installed virtualmin on centos everything is working fine, but I am not able to go to for email i.e. I am not able to access email.

I am able to send email from the virtualmin/webmin but I am not able to receive any emails.

How do I access the webmail i.e. and how can I receive emails?

Thanks for your help in advance.

@shyamsukhamit: Yes, you should add them for every domain.

Reverse IP/rDNS is automatically set to your droplet’s hostname on our control panel.

As for SPF records, take a look at this article:

Should I add the A record, MX & other thigns for every addon domain ??
@kamal , now what are these spf ,text records & reverse IP.
How should I add & setup these records…

Again thanks for your help

Yes, it’s actually recommended to create a DNS entry for your hostname.

thanks @kamal it is working now

I would like to inform you that ns1 is my host name, is it good to create an A record with that?

Yes, you have to create an A record to that ns1 resolves to your droplet’s IP address and therefore allowing it to accept mail since the MX records point to ns1.

No I don’t have A record for ns1 in my DNS panel. Do I need to create?

Try waiting a couple of hours for DNS to propagate and try sending an email again.
Do you have an A record for ns1?
