I set a new server, fresh Ubuntu 14.04 I followed the procedure described here(https://digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-and-utilize-virtualmin-on-a-vps) to install virtualmin but at some point it failed. The log doesn't help much to understand the cause, here it is : --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INFO - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - Started installation log in /root/virtualmin-install.log DEBUG - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - Install mode: full DEBUG - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - Product: Virtualmin GPL DEBUG - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - Virtualmin Meta-Package list: virtualmin-base DEBUG - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - install.sh version: 1.1.0 INFO - 2014-05-13 10:44:13 - Checking for fully qualified hostname... Can you post /root/virtualmin-install.log?
Ok I found why you get the error. You are trying to run Virtualmin on Ubuntu 14.04 which is not supported. This is a list of all supported OS by Virtualmin.

CentOS 5 and 6 on i386 or x86_64
RHEL 5 and 6 on i386 and x86_64
Scientific Linux 6 on i386 and x86_64
Debian 6 and 7 on i386 or amd64
Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, 10.04, and 12.04 LTS on i386 or amd64
Super,
Thanks for the help Marinos :)

Tried and now working like a charm
