Hello!!!
I’ve follwed the guide: VNC on Ubuntu
I’m able to access via VNC with thightVNC but File Transfer button is greyed out… How can I enable it?
An also, I couldn’t access /root because it says permission denied… Why I don’t have root access?
I did everything as the guide says and put: vnc ALL=(ALL) ALL
inside sudoers
Thanks!

Generally when the File Transfer button onThightVNC is greyed out, it’s because the server side doesn’t support it. What version is it? What version of Ubuntu are you using?
How are you trying to access /root ? Are you using sudo ?
I’m having the same problem I can’t create folders or files everything is just greyed out
I’m using Ubuntu 14 TightVNC Viewer 2.7.10 for Windows
TightVNC on the server is installed using this command: apt-get -y install ubuntu-desktop tightvncserver xfce4 xfce4-goodies So maybe this is the latest ? (I’m not an expert)
I want to be able to View/Edit/Create files and folders and do whatever I like through desktop view but I can’t cause everything is greyed out
