Hello, Does your company provides VPS hosting with root access? I want to install OpenERP application. Please suggest for the same. Regards Raksha Jaiswal.

All VPS instances are essentially a miniature linux computer in itself. Once you create a VPS - you can either choose to get the root password to be emailed to you and login as root - or add an SSH key and login via the SSH key.

Either way, you would get root access.

A Droplet is an unmanaged KVM VPS with full root access, so you can install whatever software you like on it, as long as it runs on Linux.

We also have a tutorial on install OpenERP that might be of help: How To Install and Set Up OpenERP 7.0 on a Debian 7/Ubuntu 13.10 VPS | DigitalOcean.

I recommend going with Debian 7 as Ubuntu 13.10 is no longer supported and following this tutorial first: Initial Server Setup with Debian 7 | DigitalOcean.

Kamal, I would like to know which hosting plan i should purchase with digital ocean, since i will be using it only for installation of openERP and study purpose. Can you please suggest?
