I am using ServerPilot (https://serverpilot.io/) and it is perfect for my needs. It’s incredibly simple yet powerful. It’s not a full blown control panel like you would expect with cPanel, Vesta, Direct Admin but it does give provide the perfect amount of features for someone who is more developer orientated like configuring your web stack & firewall and keeping it up to date.

There a number of them. I favor Vesta for the ease of install and use. But it’s not the best for a reseller type program. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-vesta-control-panel-on-ubuntu-12-04-lts

I have tried couple of them, here is my observation,

Paid

DirectAdmin… It has everything like cPanel but its cheaper and way too resource friendly compare to cPanel… When I used DA, I used it with a 512MB droplet, and there it ran really well…

Free

zPanel… Later down the line, I found paying for a control panel doesn’t make sense since I am not a web hosting company… and for my own websites, once I setup everything, I would rarely access all the features of a paid panel so I tried few and settled for zPanel…

Note, zPanel is now moved to Sentora project :)
