What is the best way to keep a node server and a mongo server alive after I exit the terminal?

I have used forever, but don’t know how to keep a mongoDB server running along side it.

Heya,

Use a process manager like PM2:

PM2 is a production process manager for Node.js applications with a built-in load balancer. It allows you to keep applications alive forever and reloads them without downtime.

Here is a basic example of how to use PM2:

# Install PM2
npm install pm2 -g

# Start your application
pm2 start app.js

# To ensure PM2 starts when your system boots, use:
pm2 startup

PM2 can also monitor your applications and provide useful information about their status, CPU, and memory usage.
