I’ve had my wordpress site moved here by a freelancer at the promise of higher speeds, which is true, but my site is now often down, and I have mailserver problems… clients are getting bounced mails!!.. and I am not in a position to do maintenance or continuously troubleshoot myself.
How can I get someone to help me with support?

Hi Jon, thanks very much for your offer (and warning). My server is up and running, but I don’t have the technical chops to do the maintenance or troubleshoot when something goes wrong.
I appreciate the willingness to help but I’m looking to pay someone a small monthly fee for the maintenance. I’m not sure how long until DO offer managed hosting, as that would obviously be the best solution. Actually considering transferring to flywheel, a more expensive solution but would at least be without the security concerns you pointed out.
Be very careful with this request. Too many people would love to gain access to your server for their own gains. With that said, and because I enjoy doing this type of stuff, I’m willing to assist in setting your server up properly at no cost. I say no cost because I will work on it in my spare time only.
Check these forums, or Google “JonsJava” for info about me.
I don’t have social media links, because I believe to be social, it must be face-to-face.
My name is Jon. Email is name at domain.
If you are hosting something important I would suggest hiring a company rather than an individual. This way you can ensure your Droplet is monitored 24x7 and you receive professional support. Hiring a freelancer is best for one time services as you cannot expect a quick reply if your site goes down in the middle of the night.
WebHostingTalk has a list of such companies. I have read some good reviews about a New Jersey company named Platinum Server Management which offers services for $29/month. You can get a CPanel license and get one of these companies to manage the VM.
Note: I am in no way related to any of these companies.
