The default username should be root

Hi,

As KFSys already mentioned you can try with the username root or with any sudo or other user that has access to your droplet.

If you typically log in to your Droplet using a password, or if you have set a password for the root or a sudo user on the system, you already have the credentials you need to log in.

If you log in to your server using SSH keys and have not set up a password for the root account or a sudo user, you need to use the DigitalOcean Control Panel to create a new root password.

For more information you can check our tutorial here:

Hope that this helps! Regards, Alex

Hi @victorvskc,

The username in your console is always root. As for the password, if you don’t know you, you can request a reset from your Control Panel. Once you request the reset, an e-mail will be sent to you with it.

Once you have that information, you should be able to login with your root username via the DigitalOcean console.

Regards, KFSys
