Why is the IP of my droplet in SF02 seen as being in Canada?

Posted on January 24, 2018

I spun up a droplet in SF02. The IP address assigned to that droplet is seen as being in Toronto Canada. I expected, and hoped, that it would have been seen as being in the United States.

Is there a reason for this?

Is there anything that can be done to ensure the IP address is “located” within the United States?
